Fading Light

21st February 2010
Today was very foggy and very cold. I met up with one of my night class groups for a practical landscape session. The plan was we were to photograph a sunset.
We met at 3.30 pm and left the studio around 4. We started the afternoon by doing some portraits experimenting with the lighting and taking pictures in a tunnel on a local railway walk, before setting off for the more challenging landscape session.

I say challenging because it was bitterly cold and foggy . we stopped first at Rossbeg were the sun was setting behind Croagh Patrick , which was for the most part hidden by fog and low cloud.

We then went to the coast and fought to make the most of the fading light. I have to say we had a great time and everybody did really well to stick with the cold.

We did not get a sunset, but we will just have to try again!
